[REVIEW] Mac-Nutrition Uni LIVE 3 2016

Hi lovely peeps! I hope your day is wonderful. 🙂

In September, I attended one of Mac-Nutrition Uni (MNU) Live lectures and made it into a vlog- but I thought I would write up a review on here too.

You could attend these live lectures for FREE if you are either a FULL ONLINE student or a FULL ONLINE with HONOURS student*.

MNU LIVE 3 was held in Loughborough, which was about 2 hours away from where I was based at that time. So I got up much earlier than usual (6am was very early to me… No judgement please haha) and set off!

The venue, Burleigh Court, was great for the event, endless teas and coffees and nice snacks in the lecture room as well as in the foyer! It’s good to know that most of live lectures and the upcoming conference are held in this venue as well.

The Mac-Nutrition team was very welcoming and helpful during the whole day of the event, working their socks off behind the scene while Martin was teaching us.

MNU LIVE 3 Lecture Room

The live lectures were on Optimal Health, including “Is There An Optimal Diet for Human Health”, IBS and PCOS. Most lectures were pitched at an advanced level for later in the course; but it was still very interesting to learn about new concepts in Nutrition, and having a better understanding of IBS etc. 🙂

One thing that I really loved about these lectures was Mac-Nutrition team’s evidence-based approach to each subject. For example, on Optimal Diet(s) for Human Health, Martin presented a case study on Kitavan diet in South Asia. The diet contains high level of carbohydrates(~69%), but the obesity & heart attack rate in the region is lower than the Western society**! Martin also provided either complementary or contradictory case studies on different diets like Gluten-free and Fasting.

Another thing I loved about the day was the group of people that I got to mingle with. We all were from different backgrounds but gathered altogether for the same reason- learning more about Nutrition to help others. Now I am a member of this amazing MNU Mentoring Group where people constantly supporting each other! Please let me know on comments if you want to know more about this group, I will write a little blog 🙂

MNU LIVE 3 Interview with Martin

I was able to interview Martin on a few questions including how he pursued Integrity in Nutrition/Fitness industry, which was a great advice to me if not us all 🙂

All in all it was an amazing day, I really enjoyed every minute of it.

Thank you for reading, and I will see you in my next post.

Bye! xx
